pepé
Pepé Le Pew is an animated cartoon character created by the wonderful American animator and cartoonist Chuck Jones. He was voiced by the equally talented Mel Blanc who also voiced other characters from the Looney Tunes universe such as Daffy Duck, Bugs Bunny, Marvin the Martian and Tweety Bird.
Although Maurice Chevalier is said to be the inspiration for Pepé it seems that he was actually modeled after friends of Jones. The 1949 animated cartoon For Scent-imental Reasons in which Pepe starred won the Academy Award for Best Short Subject (Cartoons) that year.
fanlistings
A fanlisting is simply a site that tries to list all fans of a particular subject. The concept was created by Janine Mischor back in 2000 as she wanted a place to list all the fans of the Buffy the Vampire Slayer TV show. As the fanlisting concept caught on a staff was set up to take care of the network.
As of 2008 the staff has 60 members plus about a hundred or so more who help with trouble-checking, etc. Every single person working on the TFL network is a volunteer. Currently there are over 40,000 fanlistings in over 50 categories ranging from Fashion to History, Celebrities, Literature, Web and Internet related and just about everything in between.
Some fanlistings, such as the Angelina Jolie and Johnny Depp ones, have over 17,000 fans listed. The Orlando Bloom one has around 27,000 fans.
