This genre refers to any fantasy books that are targeted to children and/or young adults. This includes anything from urban fantasy, high fantasy, steampunk fantasy and everything in between that's intended for said audience. The more obvious examples would be the Harry Potter series of childrens books and the Twilight series for young adults.
